About Me

I am a 2011 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics.  I grew up in Brookfield and still live there.  I am an avid baker and love to dance.  In my free time I enjoy reading and crafting.  I have a passion for traveling and want to see the world.  Most recently I have been to Puerta Vallarta and Rome.

Born to Teach

Growing up I knew I was meant to be a teacher.  When playing school with my friends I never chose to be one of the students.  Till this day I still love to teach.

I believe that not a day passes that I do not learn.  To me, the ability to learn is the greatest gift that each of us has.  Learning enables individuals to become educated, not only in an academic sense, but in everyday life as well.  As an educator, it is my responsibility to see that all my students fulfill their potential through learning.

In my classroom the students will experience all the subjects: reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science.  Utilizing books, worksheets, art, music, and much more the students will stay active and involved in their education.  Since no two students learn alike I will differentiate my instruction to target each boy and girl.

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why we call it the present."
